All spice and no substance

Here’s something I’ve learned after moving out of home.
People buy a lot of spices they don’t need.

I think there’s a lot of guilt that surrounds tossing out perfectly good food items. Maybe it stems from the thought of all those staring children in Africa who made us eat our beans as children.
But people by no means feel guilty about giving all those spices to their children who are setting up house.

So if you feel like dropping by I can’t offer you tea and biscuits. What about saffron instead? Paprika? Cumin seeds? I have them coming out my ears.

This is Julia, being grown up.
